Lord,
Grief has a way of taking my breath and stealing my strength. It comes in waves. I don't always see it coming, and some days, it feels like too much.
You see the ache I'm trying to carry. You know the loss, the longing, and the emptiness that words can't explain. But You also see me—and You are near.
I place this pain into Your hands.
• The loss that still hurts.
• The questions that have no answers.
• The tears I cannot always explain.
• The memories that bring both comfort and sorrow.
I release them all to You.
Remind me of Your hope.
• That You are close to the brokenhearted.
• That this pain is not the end of my story.
• That You can bring beauty from broken places.
• That Your love has never left me.
Give me strength for today.
• To take one faithful step at a time.
• To be gentle with my own heart.
• To receive comfort instead of carrying everything alone.
• To trust that You will walk beside me through every season.
Thank You that You are near.
You have not forgotten me.
You have not abandoned me.
Even in my sorrow, You remain faithful.
So here I am, Lord.
I bring You my grief.
I bring You my tears.
I bring You my heart.
I trust that You will carry me when I don't have the strength to carry myself.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
Psalm 34:18
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
A Gentle Reminder
Grief has no timetable.
You don't have to rush your healing.
God is near, even in the tears.
