A Prayer for When You Don't Know What to Do

When the next step feels unclear, you don't have to carry the pressure of figuring eveything out alone. Take a quiet moment, bring your heart to God, and let this prayer become your own.

Lord,

I don't have the answers right now.

The path ahead feels uncertain, and I can't see what comes next. I've tried to make sense of it, to think my way through it, to hold everything together. But today, I'm choosing to stop carrying what was never mine to control.

You already know where this road leads.

Your Word reminds me that when I trust You instead of leaning on my own understanding, You will make my path straight.

So today, I choose trust over certainty and surrender over striving.

I place this situation into Your hands.

The fear of making the wrong decision.

The anxiety that comes from not knowing what’s next.

The pressure I keep putting on myself to figure everything out.

I release it all to You.

Quiet the noise within me so I can recognize Your voice.

Show me what I need to let go of.

Show me what I need to hold onto.

Show me the next faithful step and give me the courage to take it, even if it feels uncomfortable or uncertain.

Keep my heart tender and my spirit willing.

Help me not to rush ahead of You or fall behind in fear.

Teach me to walk beside You, trusting that Your presence is enough for today and Your guidance will be there for tomorrow.

Thank You that I never have to navigate this alone.

You have not abandoned me.

You have not forgotten me.

You are not asking me to carry what only You can hold.

So here I am, Lord.

Open-handed. Listening. Ready to follow wherever You lead.

I trust that the One who is leading me is faithful.
